About Fair Quote Essex

Fair Quote Essex is run by Jay Luggar from Rayleigh, Essex. It's an independent guide and directory for homeowners, landlords and buyers who've been given a quote for damp, party wall or boiler work and want to know whether it's reasonable.

What we are, and what we're not

• We are a guide: plain-English explanations, published prices gathered in one place, and questions to ask before you hire anyone.
• We are not surveyors, builders or gas engineers. We don't inspect properties, give professional or legal advice, or carry out any work.
• We don't sell treatments or repairs, so we have no reason to recommend more work than you need.

How the site will be funded

There are no adverts or affiliate links on the site yet. In future we may offer businesses optional featured placements, or receive referral fees. If we do, they'll always be clearly labelled, and they'll never change our guidance or the order of editorial comparisons.
